The 102nd Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC) will be held at the Palais des Nations and the ILO headquarters in Geneva, from 5 to 20 June 2013.

This annual Conference brings together governments', workers' and employers' delegates of the ILO member states. Often called an international parliament of labour, the Conference establishes and adopts international labour standards and is a forum for discussion of key social and labour questions.

This session is of particular importance to Public Services International, since for the first time in more than 30 years, a review on collective bargaining in the public sector and ILO Conventions C151 and C154 has been prepared. PSI works towards the universal ratification of these conventions and the full implementation of social dialogue in the public sector. The outcome of this ILO Conference should be a renewed commitment of governments to collective bargaining in the public service, wider ratification and more targeted joint ILO-PSI cooperation, including on essential services and precarious work in the public sector.

PSI organises several events during the International Labour Conference, demanding public service workers’ rights, both inside and outside of the Palais des Nations.
PSI works in close cooperation with its affiliates at the ILC to make our voices heard!
