Africa and Arab countries form one of the four regions in the PSI structure. Our 153 affiliated organisations in some 43 countries represent a membership of around 1.5 million people here. The regional secretariat is based in Lomé, Togo. Contact our regional offices.

The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, closed the Labour conference "Alternative Models of Ownership Conference" outlining how the Labour wants the community to take back control of the British economy and put it in the hands of the many, not the few. He also referred to the PSI report "Reclaiming Public Services" - how cities and citizens are turning back privatisation around the world.

Rwanda energy crisis: Trade union network campaigns against energy privatization

An Energy Network meeting in Kampala, Uganda, has issued a statement on the privatization of the energy sector in Rwanda. Union executives and members have been dismissed after being accused of lending support to the unionists and highlighting the government’s influence on the public in favor of privatization and against the unions’ anti-privatization stance.
