Video: Why Public-Private Partnerships don’t work

16 March, 2015

English - Why PPPs don't work (with subtitles)

In this video, PSI Deputy General Secretary David Boys introduces the new publication “Why Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) don’t work” by Public Services International Research Unit (PSIRU).

Privatisation is about to become official UN policy. However, experience with PPPs shows that privatisation is fundamentally flawed.

PSI Deputy General Secretary, David Boys, explains why PPPs don't work. “Public services are massive pools of potential corporate profit, and PPPs serve to access them. The ‘clients’ are captive, the services are often a monopoly.”

The video exists with English, French, Spanish, German and Italian subtitles.
