Each of the 50 states in the United States is unique in its own way. Elected governors and legislatures govern each state and the president and congress governs the country.

The standard of living in the United States is very high. The United States consistently ranks in the top 10 of the United Nations
Development Index.

While the mean wealth of the United States is the highest of any country in the world, and its mean income is one of the highest, income is unevenly distributed in the United States.
