Join us at publicservices.international - for all the latest news, resources and struggles from around the world.
We are no longer updating world-psi.org and it will be progressively phased out: all content will be migrated to the new site and old links will redirect eventually.
PSI’s objectives at this UNCTAD are to ensure that the UN system stops the blind promotion of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), contributes to a more development-friendly trading system and promotes actions to increase domestic revenue collection for development through a range of tax justice measures.
PSI has produced a position paper, will hold a forum on the problems with PPPs and will be releasing a new report titled PPPs and the SDG: Don’t believe the hype. PSI will also be attending the civil society forum and promoting our work through social media.
We ask that you let your government know, in advance of the meeting, that PPPs have no place in the development agenda and that you promote PSI’s research and social media to your members and local media.
Public Services International is also holding a special event on the sidelines of the UNCTAD14 conference.
