PSI Philippine Affiliates led by PSLINK are lobbying Philippine legislators for the submission of a draft resolution to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Diplomacy calling for fair and ethical recruitment.

This parallel event will be held at 10:30 am at the Church Center for the United Nations. PSI is co-sponsoring this event. Moradeke Abiodun - Badru, representing PSI affiliate The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), will be speaking on behalf of PSI.

It also covers those migrant workers already working in the country.

During the labour dialogue involving PSI union leaders that was held early this month, President Rodrigo Duterte of the Republic of the Philippines reiterated his office’s commitment to abolish recruitment fees and to promote fair and ethical recruitment of overseas Filipino workers.
