PSI Philippine affiliates lobby for Southeast Asian regional resolution on fair and ethical recruitment

PSI Philippine Affiliates led by PSLINK are lobbying Philippine legislators for the submission of a draft resolution to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Diplomacy calling for fair and ethical recruitment.

One of the binding pillars of ASEAN integration is free movement. In protecting workers who are migrating for work within the region, PSI affiliates are advocating that workers moving across borders are recruited in a fair and ethical manner. The draft resolution contains the elements of PSI’s Manifesto on Fair and Ethical Recruitment and calling for zero fees in the recruitment process.
