Inter-American Women's Committee (Rio de Janeiro)

Rosa Pavanelli, General Secretary of PSI, and Candice Owley,co-chair of PSI Interamerica and from the American Federation of Teachers (AFT/USA), started the meeting, which discussed topics such as the World Women's Committee (WOC), the 61st Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW), the March 8 in the region, gender mainstreaming in the various themes and sectors, violence and harassment against women and men in the world of work and the pay gap between women and men.
