PSI affiliate, the Korean Government Employees Union (KGEU) and the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) are organising an international forum to seek alternatives to privatisation policies and to strengthen public water services.

Trade unions delegations and civil society activists will join in protest action denouncing privatisation plans for the Korean city of Daegu as well as presenting a critique of the World Water Forum. Participants will then discuss the current priorities of the global water justice movement with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region and examine a number of case studies including successful re-municipalisation of water services.
