Les jeunes doivent avoir accès à des emplois décents. Les recherches nous montrent systématiquement que les jeunes hommes et femmes sont souvent marginalisés/ées. Ils doivent surmonter davantage d’obstacles que les adultes pour obtenir un emploi décent. Les jeunes ont en moyenne dans le monde trois fois et demi plus de chances de se trouver au chômage. Il est nécessaire de prendre des mesures garantissant aux jeunes l’accès à l’éducation, à la formation et aux opportunités économiques.

On 21 January 2016, the South Africa Young Workers’ Meeting was held at PSI’s Sub-Regional Office in Johannesburg. This meeting is part of the effort to enhance the sustained implementation of the project “Strengthening the Role of Young Workers in Public Sector Trade Unions in South Africa”, which started in the last quarter of 2015, and will run until December 2016.

Around 40 participants attended a Pan-European Regional Council (PERC) Youth Committee Conference on Migration on 10-11 September. The meeting was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on the invitation of the Azeri trade union confederation AHIK. Public Services International was represented by Cédric Dépollier, Young Workers’ Facilitator.
