Launch of the World Alternative Water Forum

Date:
5 June, 2017
Time:
11.00
Location:
Livraria Tapera Taperá – Av. São Luís, 187 – 2º andar, Galeria Metrópole, São Paulo, Brazil
Event type:
On Monday, June 5, the World Alternative Water Forum (FAMA, in Portuguese and Spanish) will be launched in São Paulo, Brazil. Counterpoint to the World Water Forum, dominated by privatizing and mercantilist interests, FAMA advocates access to this natural resource as a human right, not as a commodity. Both will take place in March 2018 in Brasilia.

The PSI is one of the entities involved in the construction of the alternative forum and stresses the importance of the unions and social movements to engage in this process.

Water is a human right, not a commodity!
