Towards a global campaign on PPPs

On Tuesday 20 June, Public Services International (PSI) and EURODAD organized a joint workshop entitled “NGO's and trade unions workshop on public-private partnerships (PPPs): towards a global campaign on PPPs”, where PSI presented its PEOPLE OVER PROFIT platform, which will be launched in the coming months. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to explore ideas on more in-depth cooperation and how to support the development of the platform with both on-and off-line actions.

Canada: CUPE education workers reach agreement with provincial government

In what may be one of the largest settlements of its kind in Canada for employees who have suffered a workplace breach of Charter rights, CUPE education workers have reached an agreement on “remedy”, or financial compensation, with the Ontario government.

AFT: Trump's budget is cruel to kids

PSI affiliate in the US, AFT, condemns the US government’s plans to make cuts in the education budget. President Trump and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos want to eliminate more than 20 federal K-12 programs, including after-school and summer programs that serve 1.6 million children.
