Labour Migration and the Global Compact: Ensuring Rights, Protections and a Decent Work Agenda (New York)

Date:
15 May, 2018

However, careful consideration needs to be given to effective governance of temporary labour migration schemes. This side event will provide an opportunity for GCM negotiators from Member States, civil society, particularly migrant-led and regional/Global South networks and trade unions to address potential benefits and pitfalls for the inclusion of such migration schemes in the GCM.
