The EPSU Executive Committee meeting in Brussels on 11-12 February 2014 raised a number of concerns regarding current trade negotiations, including the EU-US (TTIP) and EU-Canada (CETA) negotiations.

Prior to the meeting, EPSU published a note entitled Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) (available in several languages below).

EPSU has also published a report on its meeting on trade held in November 2013 (available in  all EPSU languages) for background information.

For information, please find attached the ETUC communication 'EU/Canada CETA; EU/US TTIP'.

The CETA negotiations are not yet closed and further lobbying efforts are needed. Please intervene with your government (and local and regional authorities) to raise these issues.

You might also use this opportunity to seek publicity for the demands of EPSU/ETUC and help raise the pressure.

Please inform Penny Clarke, EPSU head of EU policy, of any feedback you receive pclarke@epsu.org.
