48-hour general strike in Greece

06 May 2016
The protest, on the 6th and 7th of May, is against the government's intention to adopt in the Parliament the anti-insurance Bill, which ravages what remains standing of the Social Security in Greece.

On 6th and 7th May, ADEDY and its affiliated organizations call for a 48-hours nationwide strike to all workers in the public sector, as well as the unemployed and pensioners, in protest against the government's intention to adopt in the Parliament the anti-insurance Bill, which ravages what remains standing of the Social Security in Greece.

The strike will be followed by a demonstration on Friday, May 6th, at 12:00, in Klafthmonos Square, and by another demonstration on Sunday, May 8th 2016, at 18:00, in Syntagma Square, the day that the Government is planning to set for voting the Bill in the Parliament.
